To the Residents, Elected Officials and Valued Stakeholders of North County RFA -
We are writing to inform you that Fire Chief Cermak has expressed his intention to retire from his position, after serving our communities for over ten years. While a specific date and the details of this transition have not yet been finalized, the Board of Commissioners is committed to working with Chief Cermak as his plans are solidified.
Throughout his tenure, Chief Cermak has implemented initiatives that have strengthened our operations and enhanced our ability to serve the people who live and work throughout our entire fire district.
As we prepare for this leadership transition, the Board will take a thoughtful and strategic approach to ensure the future success of the organization. This includes developing a comprehensive plan to ensure our next leader continues advancing the department's mission and goals.
We extend gratitude to Chief Cermak for his service and dedication to this organization and, most importantly, for his service to the people of our communities. Thank you for your continued support of North County Regional Fire Authority as we navigate this important period of change.
