Call volumes have increased 37% since 2013. More calls mean added costs for personnel, equipment, fuels, maintenance, and medical supplies. However, the fire authority is limited to a one percent revenue increase per year, which is even less than inflation. We recently developed a Strategic Plan to respond to this increase in demand, and it identifies the need for additional staffing and apparatus.
